Shasta Lake council to accept 10-year wastewater plan with $52 million in recommended improvements

Shasta Lake City Council is scheduled Sept. 1 to consider a resolution accepting the city’s 2026-2036 Wastewater Master Plan as complete.

According to the agenda packet, the plan was prepared by PACE Engineering over 16 months and lays out a 10-year capital program with $9.21 million in near-term improvements and $42.99 million in intermediate-term improvements.

The staff report says the draft was revised after review by the Public Facilities Committee, including corrections to pipeline footage, projected average dry weather flow and the description of a force main project.

The council’s action would mark formal acceptance of the plan, which could inform future capital budgeting, sewer-rate discussions and public works priorities if the city moves ahead with implementation.
