Sutter County’s Health and Welfare Committee agenda for July 7 shows the county moving ahead with financing and legal steps tied to the Willow Glen 16-bed Social Rehabilitation Facility Expansion Project.
According to the agenda packet, one item would approve a memorandum of understanding with Willow Glen Care Center and Sutter Buttes Properties, LLC for the project’s $850,000 local match requirement. The same staff report says Sutter County would contribute $550,000 and adjust the FY 2026-27 behavioral health budget by that amount, with the increase offset by restricted fund balances.
A separate agenda item would approve a $300,000 funding agreement with the County of Yuba for its share of the match. The packet says Sutter County would serve as fiscal agent and pass the money through in a custodial account for the project.
The committee materials also note that County Counsel review is required and that the Health and Human Services director or designee would be authorized to execute the agreements if approved. The packet does not show the final committee vote or whether the full Board of Supervisors has taken final action yet.
The expansion is tied to the state’s Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program Round 2 award, which the packet says supports the Willow Glen project.
