Shasta County supervisors are being asked to continue the local emergency proclaimed after the December 2025 storms, as the county documents damage, works through recovery and pursues state and federal disaster assistance, according to a county winter-storm emergency staff report.

The requested continuation would keep the emergency declaration active while cleanup, repairs and reimbursement documentation continue, the staff report says. The county is pursuing potential state and federal aid, but the report does not provide funding decisions or updated damage totals.
