Shasta County supervisors adopted a salary resolution on June 23 that revises the county’s classification specifications, salary schedule and position allocation list, with the changes set to take effect June 28, according to the board packet and adopted resolution.
The resolution covers a wide range of county departments, including the County Administrative Office, Public Defender, District Attorney, Sheriff, Probation, Public Health, Social Services & Benefits Administration, Health Services, Information Technology and Public Works. The document shows a mix of deletions, additions and reclassifications across those departments, including analyst, investigator, fiscal, peer support and IT-related titles.
The adopted resolution also updates countywide job classifications and salary ranges. In the salary schedule, the county lists revisions to medical and public-health positions, including Chief of Psychiatry, Senior Psychiatrist, Deputy Health Officer, Forensic Pathologist and Public Health Nurse classifications.
The record provided here does not include the motion text, vote tally or a stated fiscal impact. It does show the resolution was signed by Board Chair Christopher D. Kelstrom, attested by Clerk of the Board David J. Rickert and approved as to form by County Counsel Joseph Larmour.
