Anderson-Cottonwood Irrigation District’s Aug. 31 special meeting packet says the board will consider a scope amendment to move ahead with an assessment process under Proposition 218.
According to the packet, Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group is proposing to expand its work on the assessment engineer’s report and election assistance project, including ballot preparation, updated parcel data and limited public outreach. The revised total fee would be $124,500, with $71,500 in added amendment costs.
The packet says the consultant is aiming for an early-to-mid-December 2026 election. It says ballots and notices would need to be mailed by early October, and the engineer’s report would be finalized in September.
The same packet also lists updated parcel data from Tehama and Shasta counties as part of the assessment work, along with one town hall meeting and an informational flyer for landowners.
The packet does not show whether the board approved the amendment at the meeting, and it does not include the eventual assessment rate or parcel-by-parcel impacts.
