Shasta Public Works seeks $175,000 more for Redwood Blvd. remodel project

Shasta County Public Works is asking supervisors to approve a $175,000 budget amendment for the county’s Ag Remodel & Building Addition project at 1265 Redwood Blvd.

A June 16 memorandum from Interim Director John A. Heath says the request would raise appropriations for account 061216 from $325,000 to $500,000 and increase revenue in account 800280, listed as Trans In Ag Comm, from $434,634 to $609,634. The amendment is for the Land Buildings & Improvements Budget Unit 16600, according to the document titled Budget Amendment - BU 166.

The memo says project costs for the remodel and addition are expected to exceed the amount previously budgeted. If the Board of Supervisors approves the request, the amendment would go to the Auditor-Controller’s office to prepare the budget transfer document.
