Shasta County has entered into a three-year personal services agreement with Glenn County for Child Welfare Services/Case Management System training, setting the contract’s maximum value at $235,443.
The agreement, dated June 23 and effective July 1, 2026, runs through June 30, 2029. Under the deal, Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency will provide CWS/CMS training to Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency staff, including workshops and other sessions listed in an attached training schedule. The schedule says courses may be held in Glenn County at the Orland site and for Shasta-specific requests, with course information available through UC Davis Extension Center for Human Services.
The contract caps Glenn’s pay at $78,481 per fiscal year and says Glenn will invoice Shasta every January and July for services provided in the previous six months. Shasta must pay approved invoices within 30 days. The agreement also says Shasta’s board must appropriate funds each fiscal year for payments to continue.
The contract includes standard terms on termination, indemnification, insurance, records retention, nondiscrimination, confidentiality and electronic signatures. It says Glenn must acknowledge in training materials that the activity has been funded or sponsored by the County of Shasta through the California Department of Social Services.
The agreement was signed for Shasta County by Board Chair Chris Kelstrom and for Glenn County by County Administrative Officer Scott H. De Moss, according to the document.
