The Fall River Valley Community Services District expects to request an extension for its McArthur Well No. 2 project because some equipment needed to complete the work is arriving later than expected, according to General Manager Bill Rodeski’s report in the district’s Oct. 14 board packet.
Rodeski wrote that district staff remain in close contact with the contractor and engineer and are taking steps to keep the project moving and complete it as soon as possible. The packet does not identify the delayed equipment, say how long an extension will be requested, provide a revised completion date or explain whether the delay will affect project costs or grant reimbursement.
The district’s September meeting minutes, included in the same packet, said construction on McArthur Well No. 2 had begun and that pump and variable-frequency-drive delivery times were a concern. The district’s next project-status update or formal extension request should clarify the revised schedule and any financial or grant implications.
