Eureka City Council’s Sept. 15 agenda sets up a major public-works action: a consent-calendar vote to award Bid No. 2027-01 for Operations Complex Phase 3 to Adams Commercial General Contracting Inc. for $6,059,831.

According to the agenda, the proposal would also authorize the city engineer to use up to 15% owner contingency — about $908,975 — for unforeseen construction items and approve a corresponding budget allocation of $6,968,806.

The agenda places the bid award alongside other consent items, including acceptance of a $46,000 Office of Traffic Safety grant for the Eureka Police Department and approval of the Sept. 1 council minutes.

The meeting packet also lists an Operations Complex project update elsewhere in the agenda, but the document does not include final council action, discussion, or vote results for the bid award. It also does not provide the project’s full background, funding breakdown or construction schedule.

Elsewhere on the agenda, council is scheduled to consider introducing Bill No. 1062-C.S. to create a foreclosed and vacant property registration program and to hear a report on potential permanent regulations for data centers.
