Cutten School District trustees are scheduled to discuss and possibly approve an estimated $8,657,904 facilities implementation and deferred-maintenance plan at their Nov. 9 meeting, according to the district's board agenda packet.

The plan assigns an estimated $5,587,425 to Ridgewood Elementary, $1,934,802 to Cutten Elementary and $1,135,677 to a program reserve. Proposed work includes a new administration and classroom building at Ridgewood, entry and safety improvements, fire-alarm and HVAC work, window replacement, playground and parking improvements, solar work and upgrades to a multipurpose room.

The facilities material also projects district enrollment will decline from 576 students in 2025-26 to 535 by 2030-31 — a decrease of 41 students. The district operates Ridgewood for transitional kindergarten through second grade and Cutten Elementary for third through sixth grades.

The agenda does not establish whether trustees will approve, revise or defer the facilities plan. It also lists for discussion and possible approval a separate $28,224 Colburn Electric estimate for electric chargers and an electrical upgrade.

The packet does not identify a final funding schedule, project timeline or financing decision for the facilities program. It includes references to Proposition 2 and other facilities funding considerations, but the material reviewed here does not establish whether the district intends to seek state bond funding, use local reserves or pursue another financing path. Meeting minutes or a recording will be needed to report the board's action.
