Yuba Water Agency directors are scheduled to vote Sept. 15 on whether to keep emergency contracting authority in place for repairs tied to the Colgate Penstock incident, according to the board agenda.
The agenda item says the board first authorized the general manager on Feb. 17, 2026, to use the agency’s emergency contracting authority for the incident. It also says repair work is still in progress and that staff recommends the board continue the emergency contracting actions until the repairs are completed.
