Sutter County’s Health and Welfare Committee is set to consider a slate of health and human services items on its April 21 agenda, including a budget adjustment for In-Home Supportive Services, an extension of interpretation and translation services, and two Habitat for Humanity Yuba/Sutter agreements tied to state care-expansion funding.
The agenda says the county would increase the FY 2025-26 IHSS adopted budget by $211,711 to meet the county’s maintenance-of-effort base requirement, using 1991 Realignment revenue and cancellation of fund balance. The item would require a four-fifths vote, according to the posted materials.
Another item would approve a second amendment to the county’s contract with Language Line Services, Inc., extending interpretation and translation services through June 30, 2027 and raising the contract maximum to $115,000 for FY 2025-27.
The committee also will consider two Habitat for Humanity Yuba/Sutter agreements. One amendment would expand Habitat’s role in administering Community Care Expansion Program funds, and a separate memorandum of understanding involving Emerald Oaks Residential Care Facility for the Elderly would support capital improvements using Community Care Expansion Preservation Program funding, the agenda says.
The materials provided do not show whether the committee or the Board of Supervisors approved any of the items.
